- St. James and St. John’s off-site programs start this week! St. Paul’s and Federal Hill started last week…everything back in full swing!

News for January 28, 2013
- Promotions were held on Saturday at the Towson Merritt. Everyone did a fantastic job and received their new belts. Take a peek at some photos on the gallery page. Make-up promotion will be this Friday, February 1 during regular class time.
- We have Bushido club Wednesday, January 30 from 5:45-6:45 p.m. Brown belts and above should bring their bo’s and/or jo’s with them to class.
- Don’t forget, this coming Friday, February 1 is Purple Friday and students should wear their Ravens jersey or anything purple to class that evening! Kyoshi Karen will be wearing her purple hair, eyelashes and lipstick!
News for the Week of January 21
- We will follow a normal class schedule on Monday, January 21, even though it is a federal holiday.
- We will have promotions on Saturday, January 26 from 1-3 p.m. in the big group aerobics room.
- Please note the changes to the Friday evening class schedule – all ages, all belts will meet from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
- Information and flyers have been posted for off-site Spring classes.
December News
The Fall session at St. James Academy finished up last week. It was a great session and all the students were successful in breaking their piece of wood. We even taught the new head of school, Mr. Adler, to break a piece!
Just a reminder that St. John’s will be finishing up on Thursday and Canton will finish on Saturday, December 8th. St. Paul’s will end their Fall session on Friday, Dec. 14th and Federal Hill will be Weds, Dec. 12th or the 19th (TBD this week).
Also, a reminder that the Friday night class schedule will move to an all-in-one class this week: class time 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Mind/Body Studio.
Thanksgiving Week News
1. There will be no classes this coming Friday, November 23rd due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
2. We will hold a make-up promotion on Monday, December 3rd during regular class time for those students who were unable to make it this past Saturday.
3. Effective December 1st, 2012, only one Friday night class will be held. The class will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and will be a blended class for all ages!

Seido’s 36th Anniversary!
On Sunday, October 21st, Seido celebrated their 36th anniversary at John Jay College in NY. Kyoshi Karen had the privilege of getting her picture with the male and female grand champions of fighting, Kyoshi Chris and Senpai Maura. Abe Novick, from our dojo competed in both kata and kumite divisions. He did a fabulous job and had a wonderful experience. Several other Towson students made the trip to NY to support Kaicho and Nidaime in this celebration. Thanks to all for your support! Osu!

Seido’s 36th Anniversary Information
The celebration tournament will take place on Sunday, October 21st at John Jay College.
Kyoshi Karen would like to encourage all adults to participate either by competing or volunteering. Children can participate in the demonstration.

Fall Classes
Fall Classes will resume on Wednesday, September 5!
August Classes
Classes for children, green belts and above, and adults begins at 5:45 p.m. and runs through 7:15 p.m. in August. There will be a promotion for adults and eligible children, on August 20th during normal class time (however, the time may run past 7:15 p.m.).
