With the rise of positive COVID case in our direct community, we have moved all our classes outdoors as a precaution.

All virtual classes are canceled until we can bring classes back into the dojo.
Once again, all classes will be moved outdoors this week to the Upper Garage (lower if it rains) and concurrent virtual classes will be canceled. Please bring your water bottle, and mat with you.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Kells Karate Academy will be hosting a Break-a-Board fundraising event for the Roger’s Forge Elementary School PTA.
Friday May 13th from 6:00 – 7:30pm at RFES.
The boards are $3 dollars each and all proceeds benefit the RFES PTA.
So come out and join us for a some fun breaking boards and supporting Rodger’s Forge Elementary School.
Kells Karate Academy would like to congratulate Senpai Mike, who completed his shodan black belt promotion in New York this past Saturday. Senpai Mike has been training with us for 4+ years and continues to excel in his training. He is a great student, mentor and leader. Only 3% of students who begin martial arts training, follow through and achieve the rank of black belt… so kudos to him!
We are very proud of him and look forward to his continued presence in the dojo. Osu, Senpai Mike!
Since we re-opened the dojo this week, we will have our Valentine Parent’s Night Out this Friday, Feb 11th, 6 pm – 9 pm.
Cost: $45 for the first child, $35 for a second child.
Location: Our dojo
We can only have 20 students – 2 per square, siblings/best friends will share the same square. Masks will still be required since not all children can be vaccinated.
We will have crafts, fitness, karate lessons, pizza and a movie.
Make sure to bring a water bottle and snack and wear comfy clothes. We need a minimum of 10 kids registered for the event in order to proceed. We will make a decision by Thursday morning. So, if you would like a little time to yourself, while the kids are having FUN, reserve a spot today!
Who do we love? We love you!
And to show our appreciation for how much you mean to us, we’re offering you our Valentine’s Special: $39.95 for 2 weeks of Classes for New Students. You even get a FREE uniform.

We are happy to announce that due to improving conditions in Maryland regarding COVID numbers, we are re-opening the dojo for in-person classes. They will restart on our regular schedule on Monday 2/7.
To ensure a safe environment, we will be limiting the class size. You will need to reserve your classes via your ZenPlanner account. As the situation improves, we will consider increasing the class size.
We will continue to require masks and asks students to sanitize their hands on entering the dojo, during class and upon leaving the dojo. The use of safe distancing and limiting contact will ensure that our students stay safe while they train with us.
Also, please remember that we are still wearing our full gi. Make sure that patches are sewn on the uniforms and that if you have an advanced stripe, it’s sewn/attached to your belt.
Thank you for your patience and we are very excited to have you back in the dojo!
Due to our current weather, all classes for Saturday January 29 are moving to a virtual format.
Please log into your Zen Planner account and reserve the classes for your student.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you in the virtual classes
Due to the snowy weather, we will not be training outdoors today. But the training will go on! All classes will be via Zoom today.
You should receive an email shortly with details on how to attend the virtual classes. The forecast is for dryer weather on Tuesday, so classes should be back to the regular schedule.
