Every student is encouraged to bring a friend. We will all work on our karate basics and our conditioning and best of all… HAVE FUN!
To be silly and fun, we’d like you all to wear some kind of green “hair”. Be fun, be creative, but please don’t use any hair coloring or sprays. And we’re going to work out outdoors, so buddies should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes.

We had a great time with the outdoor classes (broken down by belt ranks) and lots of wonderful feedback from students saying “how much they liked it” and “we should do that sort of training more often.”
Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to the House of Ruth fundraiser during the Holiday Sale! We were able to raise $250 and we are still accepting donations during classes. If you are still interested in making a donation, please let the front desk know and they will help you!

BALTIMORE — “I was a runner, I’m a martial artist and I was like what else am I gonna do,” Karen Kells asked.
With more than two decades of karate under her black belt Kells decided to hit the open road, cycling.
“I did the Sea Gull Century in Maryland, and I had done a couple of rides in PA and I started tallying them and I said I wonder if I could do all 50 states, just bike in all 50 states and that’s how it came to be,” Kells said.

Congratulations to all of our Towson students that competed in the 47th Annual Seido Karate Tournament!
We are very proud of the 13 students from Kells Karate Academy that entered to compete, regardless of how they did in the standings. It takes real courage to put yourself out there in front of everyone and compete. So kudos to those of you who supported the Seido Juku Benefit Foundation!!! That being said, everyone did a great job! We had lots of first and second place standings!
Congratulations to our four new Nidan students! Jun Shihan Karen was so happy to be at Johshin Honzan to help Senpai Mark, Dan, Alex and Nicholas reach their #goals of #blackbelt and the journey that continues after #shodan. It was also wonderful to see so many of our seniors and peers.
The National Weather Service has issued an advisory about a major, dangerous storm arriving in our area today between 5pm – 7pm. Since that falls during our class times and we want our students and parents to be safe, we have decide to cancel our classes for tonight.
Stay dry, stay safe and we’ll see you later in the week.
